SAMPARK, founded in 1998, is a literary-academic press based in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. We publish fiction and poetry; biographies, academic works in the social sciences, travelogues, narrative non-fiction; and children’s books. Each year we publish thirty-five titles and the books are published in English, in Bengali and in Hindi. The press publishes translations from Indian and world languages. From French, Norwegian, German, Chinese, Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Turkish, Slovenian, Irish, Welsh, Italian, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada and English. Participation in Frankfurt and other international book fairs deepens our links and exchanges with authors, publishers and translators from around the world. Association SAMPARK GLOBAL, based in France, is our platform for publishing, academic research and cultural exchange
